How to send an article with a photo:
NEVER send together in a document; NEVER AS A PDF file
Type up the article and send it in an email – not as an attached file, as plain text.
If formatting is important, send as desired layout as an example BUT then
resend in an email in plain text.
Send the photo as a jpg and as large as possible.
Asking these questions may help resolve issues when received by Editor:
Is the photo clear? (size dependent)
Can it be cropped? (size dependent)
Can it be enlarged? (size dependent)
Is article in text or is it in Microsoft/Pages formatted text?
*ALL program documents are automatically formatted in their own computer language. If in a document, save it to your computer, then copy text and put into an email.
Ask someone in the chapter to be responsible for taking the photos; either that person or someone else can write up and send in before the deadline to the Editor.
Always expect to get a reply that the photo/info was received; if not, check within a couple of days to see if Editor did get it.
Are your chapter’s correct emails always listed on the state website? The Webmaster and the Editor both always need the correct information. Members need to check this regularly, especially if there are any changes that need updating.
